The Chinese camping tourism market is growing, and the demand is increasing. With more and more self-driving, some camping projects start to build. Some real estate businessmen realize the camping future is bright, they just turn the real estate into the camping project.
The camping tourism is the new industry in China and develops not as early as the European and American countries. According to the official of the Nationa Tourism Administration of China, with China economic sustainable development and the tourism demand increasing, the market of the self-driving, camping and family tourism develop. By the end of 2008, there are about 20,000 campsites in USA, about 50,000 in Europe, 1,500 in Japan, but there are less 100 campsites in China. With the camping demand increasing, the camping tourism development in China is potential.
The great wall is one of the most attractive tourist sites in China.
Beginning from 2003, there have been people who have built “hotels” for overnight tourists, renting sleeping bags to foreign tourists at a price of 400-500 yuan per person. This reporter learned from Luanping County Great Wall management that people were once allowed to stay overnight on the Great Wall, but must pay 100 yuan overnight stay fee and 50 yuan entrance fee, but now tourists staying overnight on the Great Wall is no longer allowed. Yet there are still foreign tourists living on the Great Wall.
Many of those coming to the 4A-level Jinshanling Great Wall scenic area are foreign tourists. After arriving at Jinshanling Great Wall, there are people on the sides hawking sleeping bags for personal profit. Jinshanling Great Wall itself is a lightning area, and previously here there have been incidents of tourists being struck by lightning!
